Job Description:

We currently have an opening for an exceptional Human Resources Generalist to provide the HR support in our Customer Service Call Center in Shelton.

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic, team oriented culture where individual contributions make a difference!

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Manage the recruitment process in the Shelton Customer Service Call Center (sourcing, screening, interviewing, negotiating offers, writing offer letters, conducting reference and background checks, orientations) for a primarily non-exempt workforce
  • Provide advice and counsel to management/employees on employee relations issues as appropriate
  • Counsel management and employees in HR related policies/procedures including benefits queries
  • Manage the HRIS function including relevant input and monthly HR reporting for the Shelton Center
  • Manage HR administration in the Shelton Customer Service Center (employment verifications, DOL unemployment claims, separation paperwork, exit interviews, etc.)
  • Manage/assist on special projects as may be required by the VP HR in Norwalk
  • Required background and qualifications include:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; PHR certification a plus
  • Minimum 5 years HR Generalist experience with an emphasis on recruitment, particularly non-exempt recruitment, employee relations and HRIS/administration; call center experience a plus
  • Knowledge of employment law and practices
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Word; ADP HRIS experience (HR Profile/Reportsmith) a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; must be able to interact effectively at all levels of the Company and handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
  • Strong organizational skills; must be able to manage multiple priorities and unexpected situations.
